God's Love We Deliver

God’s Love We Deliver is the only organization in New York City that provides individually tailored meals, as well as unlimited nutritional counseling, to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-altering illnesses, who are too sick to shop and cook for themselves. All services are free of charge, and there is no waiting list. In 2011 we are celebrating 25 years of service and we are looking to the next twenty-five, as we serve more clients than ever with numbers continuously rising.  We remain committed to our core principles of never maintaining a waiting list or charging for a meal and we are proud to be able to provide meals not just to our clients, but to their dependent children and their senior caregivers.

Twenty five years ago, a hospice volunteer named Ganga Stone paid a visit to an AIDS patient who was too ill to cook for himself.  Ganga’s compassion took hold, a meal was prepared and delivered, and Ganga realized that something as basic as delivering a meal could bring dignity and recognition to a desperate situation.  From this simple beginning, deeply rooted in caring, God’s Love was born.

God's Love has delivered nearly 12 million meals in our history. While we have come a long way, the need for our life-sustaining programs continues to increase. Today, we are proud that we not only serve our clients, but also provide for their senior caregivers and children as well.

We are excited and humbled as we look back on all we have accomplished for the past twenty-five years, cooking and delivering the specific, nutritious meals our clients' severe illnesses and treatments so urgently require.  We look forward to the next twenty-five years, as we continue to cook and deliver nutritious, individually-tailored meals, nutrition counseling, and more.
